Took the learner’s license test today. And yes I passed, eventhough I had doubts of failing yesterday! The guy doing a test next to me needed to vent some anger in the form of ‘fuck’ after screwing his one up. I lolled but had to keep my excitement in, keep my focus and pass!

After acquiring my license, hanged around long enough with friends to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Spectacular movie, very sad at the end. Many ‘lols’ during the film, especially with the ‘I have ever told you I was struck by lightning’ man.

It’s now NYE, nothing interesting for me. I’ll be at home celebrating it with family. Will be posting pics of the fireworks for you non-Sydney siders.Happy New Year to you all!

Reading my daily Tokyo Walker Article today. The main article talked about Cake Rolls, being a possible present to bring home for the New Year. I’ve never been a fan of cake rolls, but these ones just make my mouth water!

First on the menu is an unfamiliar flavour. Salt Caramel Cake Roll! Apparently salt caramel taste somewhat nice. Perhaps it is to counter the pure sweetness of caramel.

Made with egg whites, smothered with caramel, you will look forward to opening the box to this…beauty! 12cm for 1500yen!

Next on the menu is Cheese Cream Cake Roll!

This cheese cake beauty is ‘rare article’ you just want to taste! For 17cm at  1260 Yen, it is sure to please all ages, even the elderly!

Last one on the menu is Apricot and Cream Cake Roll!

Said to be the Number 1 present for giving to your lady friends, this apricot wonder can only be found at the Star Sweets Store at Haneda Airport! For 17cm at 1680yen, I’m sure it’s worth the travel to get a slice of this for your sweet heart!

Out of these 3, I would be inclined to buy the cheese cake. Actually I’d wanna try all of them! If only I was in walking distance from where these are sold. Which one makes your mouth water?

Thought I would share with you guys this picture. Simple but so cute!

I’ve been meaning to get a banner for my blog. I’ll somehow get my sister to whip something up for me!

Christmas wasn’t as eventful as hoped to be. With both parents having to work at different shifts, both being away from home during the course of the day, I had to amuse myself at home..for the 4th day? I still have a month of holidays to go!

Bunny was very naughty. When I was getting something out of the fridge, wetness struck my feet. I turned around, seeing Bunny hopping around with his wee wee flying around. Ewwwww.

Bunny is useful for mango seeds. Mango seeds always have some pulp? when you finish eating it. But no longer must we see this ugly sight of unfinished mango seeds. Bunny with his buckteeth, suck the seeds completely dry! Hurrah!

A closer look. A bit of business on the side of it =/

On Christmas morning, I woke up to find this present on my desk. Not Santa Claus, but my parents.  It wasn’t boxing day so I didn’t open it until hours ago.

Sheaffer ballpoint pen. According to my dad, I would be using it in interviews. Instead of using a normal pen, I would be using this grand pen. At first I thought this was just an ordinary generic brand ballpoint!

From a few days ago. I smelt popcorn, so I sought for it, but to find burnt popcorn! Who’s doing was it? My brother! He had failed to make microwave popcorn. BURNT IT! WHAT!?!

I hope your Christmas was more eventful than mine.

I was reading up on my anime news tonight. Just found out there’s a Eureka Seven movie. I look forward to watching it.

On the topic of Darker than Black, there have been numerous rumours of a second season but there’s no strong evidence to support it. Anyway, I sat back and watched the 2nd dubbed episode of DtB. I’m not a fan of dubs at all but I found it somewhat interesting comparing it to the original.

I have a problem with the voice actors. First, Misaki’s voice is just a bit too high, or whiny. Secondly, Yin’s voice has a tad bit too much life. Dolls are meant to be kinda dead. Thirdly, Mao’s voice is just bad, not a mentoring kind of voice. I can safely say, Hei and Huang’s voices are fine, but do not match to the originals of course.

I noticed in scenes where they’ve said something different to the original. Yes I understand that they need to differ a bit to account for cultural difference but the dub version loses a little bit of enjoyment because of it. When Mao pops out after Hei has been shot down, I was totally shocked at what they had him say. Hei doesn’t wear his cloak for fasion!?!? That’s just fail.

That’s my rant. It’s very early Christmas morning. Merry Christmas to you all. Hope you all have a great time with whoever you’re spending Christmas with.
