I’ve previously (quite discretely)hinted  that I was going to do a Darker than BLACK database. In a nutshell, it will be the place to get all DTB information. When HSC is over, I’ll slowly compile character information, episode summaries and any related material.

Who has seen the premiere of DTB2? I’m surprised how quickly it was subbed. Two years ago,when DTB started,  I would wait weeks for a sub, ending up watching the RAW weeks before the subbed version.

Great start to a second season. New characters, new powers, and new payments. Tanya, able to command locusts at will, payment, ripping some of her hair off. . Goran, super-speed, payment, eating hamburgers, now who wouldn’t like that one! And Shion, power, unknown(but my guess, a spirit transformation, would explain his disappearance and his ‘telepathic’ communication with Suou), and payment,  living confined to a wheelchair).  So many more contractors and dolls to meet.

So bad-ass, I like it, though to people, portrays Hei as a baddy.

And it looks like we’ve got our November 11 replacement for this series, August 7th. More commonly known as the Magician, contract details currently unknown. Speculating time…his payment has definitely got to be, doing magic tricks. Power wise, AVADA KEDAVRA(jokes). According to the character profiles on the DTB2 site, magic is his weapon. What will he conjure for us =o

Just more info. Mina Hazuki, the woman wearing the mouth guard/mask in the episode preview is a contractor. She is able to transform any object into a white katana. And her payment, from what I can translate from, is having a slutty sexy mood swing. Sounds wrong lol

This is the road I have taken to school everyday for the past, 12 years.

Up through the gates that lock the good people out of Carlo West. If you come over to my place from Carlo Station, go under the gate which lets cars in, unless of course you’re fat then have a climb ^^!

Up the slope I go.

And further up I go, weaving in between incoming and outgoing traffic.

And here’s where Carlo West was burnt last year. Should be operational in a few months time. My Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 Classroom all burnt down. And this is as far as I went during Primary School.

Pass Carlo West top gate, the trek to Ruse continues.

The path is actually flat now. And if I’m power walking, this is where I start to get some pain in my legs, and sweat.

And the school is nearly in view.

Cross the pedestrian crossing and I’m in the open arms of the school.

Before I head to the more meaningful part of this post, I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of today’s Beach Picnic.

Today was fun. Playing Beach Volleyball, Piggy in the Middle-ish, Stuck in the Mud(Never to be played at a beach ever again until we are up to scratch with our, terrible fitness levels). We should go to the beach another time together as Ruse09.

Now to the meaningful side of things. We’ve reached a point our lives where we must take different paths. And I’ll let the song speak for itself, because I can’t even express in words without sounding gay,lame and homo.

Was hoping to get some new sunglasses today, in particular POLICE (HINT James, if you didn’t  look POLICE the other day).  I got sucked into the whole, celebrity advertisement tactic.

Previous POLICE Advertisers(Can’t get the right word here,endorse?!?) include George Clooney and Beckham. Atsushi from Exile became the first Japanese person to become an image Character (イメージキャラクタ-as the Japanese would say), for POLICE last year.   But disappointment, only one pair of POLICE and wasn’t right for me. I like the S8095. New stock at the end of October so I’ll be sure to go back again after HSC.

For Aditi and anyone who wants to watch. Watch him take off his shades, and you’ll see why he wears thems.

And here is what I know, most of you have been waiting for, the Ramen. We went to Ryo’s Noodles at Crows Nest, which is only a walk away from Paradoxe, where we had French Cuisine. Whenever we passed Ryo’s, people would always be lining up outside, and hence must be good food.

Ranked Number One was the typical Tonkotsu. $13.50. What else do I say other than yum. And since I only at a Curry Puff and Vietnamese Roll at the Luncheon, I went for a $3.00替玉 (かえだま-Kaedama) another serve of noodles using the soup in your bowl.  The pork stock soup base just hit the spot  for me. Not too salty.

But what I appreciated the most about the restaurant, was how authentic the experience was. In Japan, crappy looking restaurants most of the time taste the best, and here is no exception. Insidelooks run down, walls covered with their menu. Inside probably  fit 20 people max at one time, so if you don’t want to line up, get in quick.

It was nice being able to read some of the menu off the wall.

久しぶりだね。Here I am again, with more photos of food. Nothing interesting I suppose but read on and you will be greatly rewarded.

Sushi my mum brought home from having dinner at Sushi Suma. Never really been a fan of wasabi. Always asked to have the sushi without wasabi, would always cringe having to ask. But if I want to live in Japan someday, I have to get accustomed to the taste. As long as it’s not too much wasabi, I’m fine with it.

Now for photos of the food I had on my birthday. Sorry for massive glaring. Dim lighting without flash doesn’t work. Breadbasket, with a few varieties of bread with what looked like olive oil and balsamic vinegar, but only tasted like olive oil. Cut us back around 8 dollars, but we had buy one get one free mains so it could be considered as ‘free.’

Yay blurry. John Dory on mash. Nothing special, when the bulk of the price comes from the restaurant’s location.

Moar blurry. My swordfish steak on rice,bok choy and mango sauce. I appreciated their attempt at the mango sauce, but failed my expectations. Or maybe I was expecting too much. At dinner my mum and sister were technical like the Masterchef judges . The texture and what not.

Sugar Heaven. Hazelnut Torte. Cut yourself back 13dollars to indulge in sugar heaven. The most jam-packed sugar thing I’ve had since pigging out on Easter Show Bag goodies.

I suggest having a coffee when you have something as sweet as the torte. Branded Guylian Sugar, worth stealing!

With around 11 packets of yeast left, decided to use another for pizza dough. Made some pizzas without mozarella cheese. Pro tip: Use Mozarella Cheese or else your pizza will suck, as demonstrated above.

But that’s not as fail as my attempt at a pizza pocket. On the outside, looked like a dinner rolls you buy from Woolies. I was eating a dinner roll until I got to the filling.

Used too much dough for too little filling. Will have another attempt and report.

Been collecting many photos that I’ve taken over the years at Ruse for the farewell assembly. Most weird photos we ever took were the ones at peer support camp year 10, where we deceptively took photos of scenery, but our real target were the couples in the grade. Some noticed the peering camera lens, some were oblivious to what we were doing, and some well, wanted to be in the photo

I present to you, the Korean BBQ meal we had two months ago with my uncle and aunty from HK who were visiting for a few days. I’ve never really eaten Korean Food besides BBQ(which I don’t even think is Korean) and Kimchi,and Bulgogi. I hope to enlist your help in identifying some weird looking side dishes.

The most well known Korean dish, Kimchi.

Unknown dish number 1. Essentially it is just bean sprouts, but if there is a Korean name for it, please tell me

Unknown dish number 3. Some white jelly thing that really didn’t taste like anything(or I just forgot what it taste like).

Raw Beef Tongue, of course eaten cooked. Imagining where the tongue has been prior to eating is not a good idea.

Cooked. It’s quite a tough piece of meat. It  acquired a tinge of bitterness from salivating too much grass in its life time.

Bulgogi. Yum?

Red Hot Chili Chicken. Good thing we ordered a mild chilli one. I wonder how much redder it would’ve been if it was super hot.

Watching everything sizzle. Yay. Clothes absorbing BBQ smell. Nay.

Maybe it was just this restaurant, but do Korean restaurants in general use metal chopsticks? After eating,my hands were hurting but gained a few points in strength.

I’ve been listening to Japanese Songs for 5-6 years and still some words that I keep hearing over and over again, their meanings have still eluded me. Example, I’ve been hearing 永遠-えいえん-Eien in so many songs in the past year, in BoA’s 永遠 and Exile’s You’re my Sunshine. It was only yesterday that I bothered to look it up in the dictionary, which encouraged me to compile a list of words commonly found in Japanese songs. I hope to cover as many as I can, but of course, if I’m missing any, then feel free to contribute. After all, my playlist is limited to around 5-6 artists mainly!

We’re all taught at a young age to never do bad things. Don’t swear. Don’t litter. Don’t steal. The list goes on. Well tonight, mum’s too tired to cook, so Dad announces we’re going out to the usual place to eat dinner, Ed’s Restaurant. All good, we arrive at the restaurant, order the usual, and eat. We’re close to clearing all the dishes, and then dad brings up paying the bill. I don’t know why but he usually asks mum to pay the bill. Most of the time, she does anyway but tonight she didn’t bring her purse. So my dad looks into his wallet, barely holding enough money for a fifty dollar meal. Shock, we weren’t going to be able to pay for the dinner. This reminded me of the BONES episode when Booth says to Brennan, that they’re going to do something bad, ‘Dine and Dash’. But of course, Booth paid. The idea of ‘Dine and Dash’ definitely popped in my head, but since we’re regulars, we were perfectly fine without paying. When my parents approached Ed’s dad, I felt so embarrassed, walked out of the restaurant , didn’t want the other customers to think we were retarded for not bringing enough money to eat. But yes, this is story of the first time, I walked out of a restaurant without paying. Wasn’t dramatic, or risk taking whatsoever.

There’s this Chinese saying which I couldn’t catch, which means eating without paying.

It isn’t quite yet spring but I’ve done some major cleaning up. During exams, you concentrate on study, and everything else around becomes ignored. My study area and my room became a clutter of paper during the past two weeks, and I’m glad I’ve cleared up the mess.With marks slowly coming back in, don’t be too disappointed if you didn’t do as well you liked to. There’s the HSC left to go, and it is another chance for you to perform to the best of your ability, so don’t give up ^^!

During highschool, we’ve accumulated quite alot of paper. I know when I went to Swot Shop, at least one tree a day was being killed just to make our fat booklets for our lessons. When my folder expanded enough to break itself, I would take everything out, remove all the staples, and recycle all the paper. Likewise, all this paper, from excursions, notes, past papers had their staples removed and plopped into the recycle. Having killed so many trees, it is only right to recycle it. Anything there seem familiar?

How are your cleaning habits? Mine are dreadful. Whenever I paper floats into my room, I stack them into a pile since I have no room on my table to put things. The pile grows taller, until I decide to sort and file them into their respective places. Annoying. Back in Year 9/10 Science, Bialy taught us about the chaos theory and how everything is bound to end in chaos, even the earth (not in the next 50years or so at least). Hence, we should not be bothered about cleaning. Our whole family except our dad are messy. My dad keeps his room spick and span, and always complains when we mess the order of his things.

My minimalist desktop, which I strive to keep from now on. No longer has the sticky notes, nor pens and pencils lying around. The  ‘Post your Desktop’ Thread in the framz is just people changing their desktop background every day. How often do you have to change your background!I haven’t changed mine for like 2 months. It’s not like you stare at the background when you have nothing to do. The thread should be renamed to avoid such misleading confusion! My newly acquired CD cabinet (1month ago) is sitting on the left. And next to it are my rubix cubes. One with the alphabet and numbers on faces. Doesn’t turn as well as the one I got back in Year 10. I can solve it under 2-3minutes still, using the slow method!

Sometime during the past few months, I asked my dad if I could buy a portable hard drive. These days, we can download so much, in so little time, an extra hard drive to store data is always going to be handy. When Kevin Rudd’s internet upgrade is initiated, we’ll be downloading so much more! But nuh. What happens if the hard drive dies? You’ll lose all your data! Yea so what, I don’t want to be carry around 500+ DVD’s when I could be carrying a portable hard drive. And then me and my dad went down to the maths, calculating cost per megabyte of storage. For the time being, he wins. However, to burn DVD’s takes 40minutes and it’s just tedious. Ah well, as long as he provides me with all my storage needs, I’m content with burning away.

The CD Cabinet is quite useful. Push the door open, and shoots out the drawer. This one holding 200, I’ve only half filled it, amounting to around 400 gigabytes of data ^^! I’ve also been cataloging what I have so it’ll make it easier for me to loan DVDs to people to steal stuff. I’ve got a list of what I have, with where it is located in my CD cabinet. I’ve got a variety of things (I think it is, but will be expanded on it), so if you want to have a look, MSN me and I’ll send you the catalogue. Special thanks to Sandy providing me with BONES. Saved me lots of download Now I have to hunt down Ambert to give me NCIS. How do you store your data? DVD’s or Portable Hard drives, or even just on your computer? Years down the track, DVDs will become the new VHSs so I think storing on DVDs is quite redundant but anyhow.
