Hi guys(or should I say girls as well?). Long time since I last posted. Making up for lack of posts, I’ll talk about the new goodies I have just acquired ^^! I have a Haruhi Figurine now
Well, she isn’t the perfect figurine, but what do you expect from a New Type Magazine Freebie. Freebies are awesome, but not when they are all Gundam ones!! My dad just dumped me the Jan,Feb and March issues onto me, so now I’ve been reading through old and new anime news.
Full Metal Alchemist is coming back April. New Type has had coverage but the studio isn’t releasing much information. In the Feb issue,New Type asked a whopping 50 questions about the new series. They won’t even leak out who’s doing OP or ED. Making lies such as a band called ‘ん’ is doing the ED. Guess we will wait and see when it airs.
More coverage. Interviewing the voice actors for Ed and Alphonse. They were asked if they could use Alchemy, what would they make. Paku Romi (ed) would make a room of something I can’t read. Maybe gold? Kugimya Rie (Aru) wants to make an alarm clock, which would have an appealing design.
What’s behind Haruhi? Soul Eater Manga!! Currently have 5 volumes. Will get the rest sometime later. Read the first few chapters, and saw the similarities between the anime and manga. Finding Tsubaki completely(with some part blank) in the nude was a surprise.
More to the otaku shelf. Slowly running out of space. All the figurines falling down. It’s such a mess at the moment.
This maybe the only interesting post for a long while now. Getting the monthly New Type delivered, so I get it every month. The pictures are so vibrant, and with so many pages, Can’t believe its only 620yen (and doubled because everyone likes to jack prices up).I look forward to FMA freebies .
Until later, mata ne!
Nearly halfway through the first term, the workload slowly piling up, with exams just five weeks away!
I’ve recently been writing about Multiculturalism, since it’s a topic area for Japanese Extension. Now what annoys me is some of the weird katakana we come across.
Multiculturalism can be written in two ways
多文化主義-たぶんかしゅぎ-Tabunkashugi
Simple enough?
マルチカルチュラリズム-MARUCHIKARUCHURARIZIMU
What a mouthful. I do prefer using 多文化主義 but for variety of vocab, I’m forced to use that long katakana, I can’t even pronounce without slipping somewhere in the middle of it.
Now, people say Australia is a MARUCHIKARUCHURARIZIMU country. Yes indeed, but depending on your definition of MARUCHIKARUCHURARIZIMU.Most would say, multiculturalism is the mixing of cultures, hence Australia must be! But how I see it, is the integration of cultures, where everyone respects not only the different culture, but each other. For me, Australia isn’t very MARUCHIKARUCHURARU. I look at my school and all I see is black hair(with the odd blonde/ brunette). I go to suburbs such as Eastwood and Hurstville, you will just see Chinese shops everywhere. Then there are issues of discrimination and racism. I find it rude when people say ‘Ni hao’ to me, because I get this racist feeling about them. Maybe it’s just me =o
Noir, the theme of this year’s Valentines Day at school, coinciding with the 13th. There was pretty much nothing Noir about Valentines Day, as clearly seen by the white rose Jason sent me.
As a school tradition, on Valentines Day (or the day closest) , the prefects deliver all the roses, serenades, hugs, pick up lines, lollies, chocolates and balloons, people bought to send to their ‘loved’ ones. Interpret ‘loved’ in any way you wish.As rich as Jason is, I was sent six hugs,a pick up line, a white rose, a massage and a serenade. Though he wasn’t there to witness my serenade, my whole english class watched in laughter as the prefects sang ‘As long as you love me’ by the Backstreet Boys. I was embarrassed at first but then got over the fact I felt loved, even knowing I was going to receive one days before. I felt somewhat jewed when the prefects left after my serenade. Then another group came with moar serenades and moar deliveries.
One of the Pick up lines. Apparently if someone hired 1000 painters, they wouldn’t be able to paint something as beautiful as me.
The guy on the right has been serenaded every Valentines Day since Year7.
Here’s my ’serenaded’ rose pin. The rose pin was quite cool, considering they made it from just ribbon, string and a pin.
If you’re special enough, you might just receive more than rose pin, like akatsukisan.
The whole point of Valentines Day at school is to make fun of each other. There is hardly any love! My friend sent her sister, who’s in Year 7 a serenade. After the serenade, her sister was wondering which boy sent it to her!
At the end of the day, we’re all invited to watch the annual Valentines Day Assembly. If you’re are loved enough, and are special enough, then you may receive an onstage serenade everyone watches. Here is the footage of the assembly, more to come shortly after a person finish uploading.
Anything special happening on Valentines Day for you?
The world in Bounen no Xamdou is finally at peace, at the price of Nakiam’s life. Not really her life, but sleeping for 1000years.
I’m glad Akiyuki didn’t lose his identity, and that he’s with Haru. Sadly no climatic romantic kiss ending! I mean, Akiyuki’s parents had their moment, as if not give him and Haru their’s.
Skipping 9 years into the future, I thought was pretty nice. Older Yango lost his cuteness, but looks hot! Haru becoming a teacher. Ryuzo, Fusa and Nazuna living happily together. Though I kinda raged when Kakisu sliced Ryuzo’s left eye, thanks to Kakisu, Ryuzo looks cool with his new glasses!
The member of Zenbani are doing well. Hinokimaru looks like Raigyo now.!
Anyway, Bounen no Xamdou was awesome while it lasted. I’m definitely rewatching it in one go so I understand everything.
